Since the establishment 1981 in Düsseldorf, Flow Instruments has been engaged in the development, production and distribution of flow measurement systems for the gas industry.

Due to the expansion of our product range and personnel, it was necessary to move to a larger site in 1991. Today the company is based in Solingen.

Since the foundation of the company more than 3800 flow measurement systems, over 100 pump modules, 40 CO2-delivery units and 40 CO2-cylinder filling systems have been produced.

In 2001 Flow introduced ist first flowmeter for propane and butane and obteined approval from PTB.

In addition to our stationary verification equiment , in 2002 we obtained the pattern approval for a mobile prover allowing official verification of flow measurement systems in semi-trailers without being tied to a certain place.
